The fields are changing colors and after a long, hot summer, I feel Fall on the cool breeze. I took a walk around the farm this morning and it made me a bit reflective so I thought it was time to share a few updates from the past few months.
First: Yes, I am working on another book – this will be number 5, if you can believe it! I have taken a break for a few life events to unfold this summer, but the book is tugging at me, the characters refusing to let go, so it will be written. Stay tuned! @jmariebooks
Second: So, this happened this summer! Our son married a beautiful woman and we gained another daughter! The picture above not only captures the love they have for each other but also the joy they have as they begin their journey together following our savior Jesus Christ!

As I looked over the crop on our farm during my walk, I was reminded of the grace God, the patience he has with us as we struggle to trust him during the long, hot and dry summers of our lives (and those who live in our area know what I mean by a long, dry summer!) I see the crop now almost ready to harvest and I see God’s presence in our lives. He doesn’t leave, he stays steady and true.
I see the fields, that a few months ago were mounds of black dirt, now full. We will see how the harvest comes in, and it may not produce the bushels that we wished it would, but I see that God is good. No matter the sight in front of me, He is Good. I see the depth of his love, demonstrated through the gift of salvation through the sacrifice of his Son. He has already given us the greatest gift and he deserves all glory and honor.
REVELATION 4:11
You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.
